Climate Justice
Cuento...
Presently I am focused on parenting, & improving our Community-Living-Schoolyards. I continue to collaborate on community Art projects throughout San Diego, California, & Baja California, Sur.
In DEC 2022, I certified as UC, Climate Action Corps - Climate Action Steward -- serving Mundo Gardens non-profit advancing social & environmental justice in our communities.
Before art, I endeavored to be a Biologist with an emphasis in Bio-diversity, at Humboldt State University. I remain passionate about Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) that my family has shepherded in me, and I continue to learn about Modern and Traditional Methodologies (MAT) for parenting. In 2013, I certified as an installer for GreyWater Action for Sustainable Water Culture, as a path to environmental soundness for my family/ community.
In 2019, I had the pleasure to learn from Yusuke Kozaki, while at a Concept Design Academy workshop; His art, in Pokemon Go, empowered 50 million users to play together in a matter of 19 days. I find the rate of network connectivity, reassuring as also exemplified within the fungi of the soil/ food web, so I remain optimistic in our people's restorative justice & climate action potential.
Be well | Enjoy today,

Collaborate to uplift
Cultura, Artesanias, & Climate Action:
In 2022, I started amplifying local Climate Action for my son's school elementary school. As parents we are faced with the startling reality that although our children survived the pandemic, learning loss is exacerbated by Nature deficits, extreme heat exposure from blacktopped schoolyards, as well as sedentary excessive screen time. Health and wellness needs to be a priority as we continue to bridge intersectionalities & root causes to challenges. Our aim is not reinventing, instead resetting nature for the health and well being of our children, and ultimately our humanities. Creating space for arts and culture is part of healthy lifestyles. It should go without saying, that it's absurd to think our youth have to clean up decades of land mismanagement, just to exist.
Why is my community facing disproportionately higher mental health crisis, generational trauma, over militirization, and incarceration rates?
Please join me in advocating for equitable tree canopy, starting with your local Schoolyard Forest.
